Great boots dress up or down
These boots are very cute dress up or down . I bought them for our vintage length dresses to wear with knee socks . These would photograph so well . I feel carters shoes run a little smaller than other brands .

Do the shoe laces tie up like regular laces?
No- there is a zipper on the side and the laces are elastic.

Are these good for cold weather/winter or are they just for hiking/fall time?
