Loose, soft and comfortable to wear. My son loves it. Not sure about your son size but my son is big (taller and heavier)for his age. He is 5 years old but I got size 8 for him.

These jammies had potential
I love the Carter's brand but these pajamas have to be the worst thing I have purchased from them, in terms of quality. This set is paper thin. You truly can see straight through both pieces. Its very poor quality fabric. Such a shame.

I bought this for my son and the shirt came the correct size and the pants came two sizes too big. He won't fit in them at the same time ever.

The description states that these pajamas are "not chemically treated", so what makes them flame resistant?
We design our children’s sleepwear with a combination of fabrics and fits that do not require treatment with harsh chemicals to prevent flammability.
Carter’s polyester sleepwear is naturally flame resistant, while our 100% cotton sleepwear is tight fitting, and therefore does not require additional fabric treatment. All Carter’s sleepwear products are clearly labeled as “sleepwear.” Only garments labeled as such should be considered sleepwear.
All of our sleepwear products are created with children’s safety, health, and comfort in mind, and meet Consumer Product Safety Commission requirements.
