Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thankful for these jeans My son has been wearing this style and fit for a while. Slim fit is good for him since he is on the small side. Just adjust the waist. Boys are rough on jeans, but these are more durable than some other brands I’ve tried

What does R means in size ...which size best fits a 8year old boy

The 'R' means regular. 'S'- slim 'H'- husky Carter's clothing is generally recommended by height and waist size of the child. Please check our size charts, for the best fit.- https://www.carters.com/size-chart
