I need a white turtleneck for my son but the one for boys is off-white. Would this turtleneck work for a boy?

Love this turtleneck, but why is it so much tighter than the "cotton turtleneck"?

I have referenced the size chart, but the 2T for this turtleneck is MUCH smaller than the 2T "cotton turtleneck". This turtleneck in 2T fits my 16-month-old very snugly, while the "cotton turtleneck" in 2T is very loose on her.
