The print is cute and I like that they’re shorter than the other swim shorts that teach his knees- easier for him to move around in!

How are these made to be upf 50? Chemicals?

The fabric provides natural protection from the sun’s rays equivalent to or better than the UPF rating as they absorb/reflect the light and only a small fraction passes through to the wearer’s skin. Carters (or OshKosh) Swimwear has tightly woven or knit fabrics that allow very little light to pass through, there is no need for any coatings or chemicals.

are these oeko tex certified? I can’t find a confirmation of that in the info.

We do not claim Oeko Tex Certification for Little Planet product. These are, however, made with 100% recycled polyester.
