Black or navy?
I asked before, and Carter's answered that they are black, but it's listed as NAVY when I click on description and at checkout. Please help! Thanks.
If you're ordering the 2 pak with the dark shorts and pink shorts, the dark shorts are navy. I ordered them and that's what they are.

What is the difference between tumbling shorts and playground shorts?
Our Playground Shorts are a little longer and offer a slimmer leg than the Tumbling Shorts.

What is the difference between playground shorts and tumbling shorts? I thought it was length, but the product description says mid-thigh for both. Also the picture shows both short and long and calls them playground shorts. Very confusing
Tumbling Shorts hit approximately mid-thigh and Playground Shorts hit approximately just above the knee.

My daughter wears between a 7 and 8 now and her size 8 pairs from last year still fit nicely. I bought size 10s this year and they are longer and roomier but not falling off. It depends how you want them to fit. They're designed to be fitted/snug. We use them mostly for cheerleading practice and under dresses. My daughter weighs about 60 pounds, that may help you in your size decision :)
