Quality has declined over the years
I've been shopping at Carters for 20 years now (6 kids). While sure there are cheaper places out there, the quality for the price was awesome here. Everything is cute of course, but things were well made and LASTED. With 6 kids, this was a big deal. Now with my youngest daughters (6 and 3) I've noticed a huge difference in the quality. Pajamas (in this case) that I bought 1 year ago are thicker and better made than these pajamas that I recently bought. It's sad. They're so thin now. I took the other ones (one size down) out of the drawer to compare with the newest ones. They're practically see through now whereas the old ones were sturdy, washed well, comfortable, and thick. Prices have gone up everywhere, so I expect that, but don't make me pay higher prices while also giving me declining quality. At that point it's not worth it anymore. They're still cute, but this is not something I foresee being able to pass down to her younger sister nevermind it even lasting until she outgrows them. I've loved Carters for all of these years, but I think it's time to start shopping elsewhere.
